Because the money is the list.  

If you've learned anything from me so far, I HOPE you've learned that. But how do you get a list?

Step 1:  You need an email capture page

This is the page people enter their email address on to get a freebie.

People love things like templates, checklists and reports.  Keep it simple, fast to create and doable.

It needs to be something people can get value from in 10 minutes. I've talked about email capture pages in other issues.

But there are MANY shades and varieties of doing this.  Network marketing is notoriously challenging to promote on FB.  But Dani Johnson runs an ad like this:

That's brilliant.

Her free 30-day bootcamp is awesome.  It's a series of 30 calls she did, 1 every Monday.  And she provided the recordings.

Dani is a world-class seller, so on the calls, she was training, pitching, inspiring, the whole thing.

The takeaway for YOU is simple:  SAVE screen caps of all the best email capture pages you run across, even if they're offbeat.

Here's a super powerful one:

You say, "Marlon, I could never do that.  

But that's actually just an inexpensive php script from Code Canyon. How to set it up is an advanced topic.  On that one, you use it free but you have to sign up for "more" features.

The point here is NOT that you should do either of the above.  It's to become a STUDENT of opt ins.

Whether you have free TEMPLATES, CHECKLISTS, REPORTS, REVIEWS, SOFTWARE, or give aways, have something people join for free.

KingSumo.com will let you do a really cool give away AND build your list.  This is FANTASTIC if you're starting with no list.

I did a newsletter awhile back about how Pixel Fairy promotes give aways using Facebook.  Just be sure to look up the rules for Canada and the U.S. before doing give aways.  I talked briefly about this in the newsletter write up.

Rafflepress is a free Wordpress plugin. And then there are many services that handle the legal requirements for you.

Anyway, work to get 3 or 4 you promote on Facebook, Pinterest, your website, blog, Youtube channel, and so forth. Which brings us to step 2:

2.  Promote your opt in anywhere and everything that it's kosher

Don't be shy.

Promote it in live streams, FB posts, Youtube videos, Twitter, Pinterest and wherever else you can think of.

Here's a CLEVER way to do it:

Use the page your giveaway is on as an EXAMPLE of something you're making a point on.

So people SEE it without you blatantly promoting it.

Or reference the freebie off-the-cuff in live streams and videos.  Or newsletters.  Or emails.

The only real rule here is to promote.

And if you use Quora to get traffic, and you SHOULD, then certainly use it  there.  I'll talk about it in another issue.  It's a tremendous source of free traffic. The  main sticking point for affiliates is traffic.  This is a GREAT way to get free traffic that is targeted.

But wait, we're not done.

In my Exit Bux product, I talked about all kinds of clever ways to use popups that offer a freebie.

3.  Create a page on your blog or website that lists ALL your TOOLS and RESOURCES you promote.

Then reference that page all the time!

This is something I'm just STARTING to create.  That way, it's easy to refer to your affiliate links.

4.  Create a list of ALL your affiliate links where you can EASILY and QUICKLY reference them.

Just NOT having quick access to afffiliate links costs you a fortune.

5.  Ask vendors for a discount coupon or a bonus

Believe it or not, even a $2 to $5 coupon can get you sales! And manytimes a vendor will give you a bonus or bonuses you can use.

6.  Use redirect links

I currently use Pretty Link, although I've found a better program I'll be recommending soon.

I use a link like https://resellertoolkit.com/gaurab

That redirects through my affiliate link. That way, if the vendor changes the link, you can change ALL your links just by updating ONE!

How To Get Approved As An Affiliate

1.  If you're an existing Warriorplus.com affiliate, register to be an affiliate for the Affiliate Success Letter.

Depending on your stats in Warriorplus as an affiliate, you may be approved. But if you aren't, relax. There are other ways to get approved, as long as your refunds are under 5%.  If your refunds are over that, message me on getyoursupport.com and I'll handle it on a case-by-case basis.
