Today, let's talk about how to rake in sales by following up.

You can follow up by email, FB messages, text messages, the phone, direct mai, or even retargeting ads.

But the workhorse of follow up is email.  That's how most people make the bulk of their money.

That doesn't mean you shouldn't explore other follow up methods.

For most affiliate marketers, email is the engine that drives sales.

While there ARE super affiliates who have methods to drive traffic and don't have their own products, you'll USUALLY find out the way the person builds their list is dominantly by creating and selling their own products.

I call these products "candy sticks" because they're so sweet.  You get paid to build your list.

The thing most affiliates don't focus on is follow up.  Everyone knows you need traffic.

Follow up gets ignored.

I have talked before about the fondation of 2-step marketing.

Back in the early 1900's they'd run ads offering a free booklet on the topic of interest.  People would respond. Then a  sales person would follow up.

In place of sales people, we have email.

Most people get hung up on HOW to write follow up emails.

The MAIN things are as follows:

1.  Re-emphasize one or more benefits

You can actually make a list of 10 benefits of the product or service. And spend 1 email on each benefit for a total of 10 emails.

2.  Emphasize proof

If you have your own results, talk about that.

If not, talk about proof the product creator gives.

3.  Bonuses

Spend 1 or more emails talking about your bonuses for the offer.

If you have 3 bonuses, you could spend 1 email each for each of the 3 bonuses.

To show you how you could blow up a follow up sequence, if each bonus had 3 benefits to the user, you could have 3 emails for each bonus.   One for each benefit.

Then you have 3 bonuses.  So that is 9 emails.

PRO TIP:  If you have a bit of an affiliate track record, you can ask the vendor for a bonus or two and they'll give you something.

Often, in the JV doc they have bonuses right there for you to use.

4.  Countdown and urgency

This is the thing that REALLY brings in the responses.  And the reason why creating your own bonuses is powerful. You can stick a deadline on responding to get them.

Countdown timers are very powerful.  And you can also have a numerical limit so "Only 4 bonus packages left" is a powerful subject line.

But remember that the vendor sometimes has a price increase you can use as an urgency email.

Or they add an extra bonus.

Or they have a deadline to get their bonuses.

Or they're closing out the launch.

People think emails and follow up are all complicated and such.

In truth, just do what I told you above.

Don't let people pull the wool over your eyes.

This is about all there is to follow up.

Peopl buy to get BENEFITS.

And scarcity or urgency makes them pull the trigger on the purchase.

How To Get Approved As An Affiliate

1.  If you're an existing Warriorplus.com affiliate, register to be an affiliate for the Affiliate Success Letter.

Depending on your stats in Warriorplus as an affiliate, you may be approved. But if you aren't, relax. There are other ways to get approved, as long as your refunds are under 5%.  If your refunds are over that, message me on getyoursupport.com and I'll handle it on a case-by-case basis.

2.  Subscribe to the Affiliate Success Letter

I'll approve you on a provisional basis.  Your ongoing approval will depend on your percentage of refunds and chargebacks.  You need to have refunds under 5% and chargebacks under 1% and continue on at the $5 / month level after 30 days.
