Recently, a well-intentioned affiliate sent me 17,000+ clicks with no sales.  

I appreciate every click an affiliate sends me.

But when you send a bunch of clicks to a vendor that don't result in sales, you water down the vendor's stats, in general.

If vendors know you're going to "wash your traffic" before you send them clicks, they will be more likely to approve you as they figure you won't water down their stats.

Now, to be fair, Mike Lantz from W+ says that his software doesn't count outlier clicks where a whole bunch of non-converting clicks are sent.

Still, it's good practice to wash your clicks. At least while you're new and before you're established. And even then it's a good practice.

See those figures for visitor value?

As an affiliate that's what you're looking at in part to figure out what you want to promote.  If you LIKE the product, you'll probably promote the $4.74 or $3.55 offer because you'll possibly make more money.

See, affiliates want to see an earnings per click or visitor value like this:

Seven clicks and two sales.  The Revenue Per Hop or RPH is $7.71. That's basically the same thing as earnings per click.

In other words, if the average for this program was an RPH of $7.71 it would mean for every click the average affiliate sends, they'd make $7.71 divided by 2 for commissions.

What I mean by WASHING TRAFFIC is this:  when you wash something, you change something from dirty to clean.

Now, clicks that don't convert are sort of like dirty laundry.

But if you send those clicks through a page that then washes out the NON buyers or people with low buying intent and only allows through clicks likely to result in sales or conversions, THEN you'll have stats like the one above.

7 clicks and 2 sales.

Method one:  The long email

Now, in this case, I think my friend wrote a detailed email. So only serious people clicked.

That's one method to wash traffic:  Write a long, detailed email that explains the benefits of the product.  That way, when they click, they already know what to expect.

Method two:  Send your clicks to a review video on Youtube or a page with a review video

If you own the product, log in and do a little review video.

Talk about the problems the product solves.  Who it's for. How easy it is to use.  That sort of thing.

That way, only the serous people will click to go to the website.

Method three:  Send your clicks to a bonus video or bonus page

You may or may not have a review on the bonus page. Most people do but not everyone.

Offer one or more bonuses for buying through your link.

That way, only the people interested in buying click.

Method four:  Send your clicks through a webinar

Some big affiliates will do a webinar for a product where they often bring on the product creator or vendor and discuss the product.

It's an advanced method.  But the webinar allows you to explain the product and offer a bonus or discount from the vendor for a limited time.

Washing your traffic is a SIMPLE THING.

But it's going to go a long ways to helping you make more money as an affiliate.

How To Get Approved As An Affiliate

1.  If you're an existing Warriorplus.com affiliate, register to be an affiliate for the Affiliate Success Letter.

Depending on your stats in Warriorplus as an affiliate, you may be approved. But if you aren't, relax. There are other ways to get approved, as long as your refunds are under 5%.  If your refunds are over that, message me on getyoursupport.com and I'll handle it on a case-by-case basis.

2.  Subscribe to the Affiliate Success Letter

I'll approve you on a provisional basis.  Your ongoing approval will depend on your percentage of refunds and chargebacks.  You need to have refunds under 5% and chargebacks under 1% and continue on at the $5 / month level after 30 days.
