In this issue, I want to talk to you about how most top affiliates do it.
It can be mystifying to see the sales by top affiliates. And you wonder, "Wow, how do they do that?"
So today I want to break down what I know about how top affiliates do it.
There are multiple breeds of top affiliates. Let's walk through them.
1. Those with an existing following in a related niche
There are some affiliates with a following in a related niche. This is where all their new traffic comes from.
A certain percentage of those people are interested in the affiliate offers they promote.
This is a difficult model to follow. But it should be included in the list.
2. Those with Youtube audiences
This is pretty common. Affiliates build up a Youtube channel. Then use that channel as the base to build up their list and their affiliate sales.
For the most part, you have to commit 6 months to a year to build up a Youtube channel. There are people who explode channels fast, but they're the exception not the rule.
The best example I know of for how an ordinary person can do it is Shawn Powell. I've talked about his channel before. He doesn't have a huge following. But he's very consistent. And it's more than enough leads to feed his business.
Shawn picks 3 or 4 affiliate programs that pay extremely well and just hammers them over and over and over. But in creative, interesting ways. I have no interest in the programs he promotes but always enjoy watching one of his videos as he works his promotion magic.
Chad Bartlett used Youtube as one of his main channels in becoming the #1 Builderall affiliate. And he shares quite openly on his channel about how he did it, along with his other promotion methods.
His set design is kinda fancy now. But for the first 2 years was rather plain.
What I love about Chad's approach is he's a "normal" guy who doesn't have an over the top channel.
A lot of people are so charismatic and have such incredible video setups, it's hard to see yourself running a channel at that level as an affiliate.
Chad is a guy you can relate to who does the basics well.

Brendan Mace is a top W+ vendor and affiliate. He originally started with his Youtube channel and built his following there.
3. Those with big Facebook groups
Live by the sword. Die by the sword.
I wouldn't want my business dependent on Facebook. But Facebook groups another key way Chad built his affiliate business:
Shawn Powell also has a Facebook group. There's definitely an art to building a Facebook group. But there are plenty of free videos on Youtube on how to do it.
4. Those who do paid traffic
These people usually promote cpa or cost per action offers that pay for things like free signups. Or they promote big ticket affiliate programs.
The reason is, traffic isn't usually cheap. This is a whole specialty. It's a definite learning curve. But it's how some of the top affiliates do it.
There's a famous forum called "Stack That Money" where many top affiliates hang out who do this sort of thing.
5. Those who also sell their own products
This is the most common.
Usually, what I see is top affiliates also sell their own products. They go hand in hand.
They sell their own products to build their list. Then use that list to sell affiliate products.
Now, there are many other methods that we talk about in Affiliate Success Letter that can drive affiliate sales for you.
But what I wanted to do here is explain the methods used by the top affiliates you see who splash the big, giant earnings numbers all over the place.
The first things you do to figure out how they're doing it are:
1. Look to see if they run a large Facebook group
2. Look to see how many Youtube subscribers they have and how often they do videos
3. Look at their Facebook page and check under "page transparency" to see if they're running Facebook ads.
4. Check their data in Similarweb.com to see what you find
This will give you some analytics on the site.
5. Get on their email list
You can find out if they are promoting their own products, how they make their affiliate sales and much more. If you maintain a good email swipe file, you'll have a whole history on them.
6. Check JVZoo.com, Clickbank.com, Warriorplus.com and Muncheye.com to see if they're launching products or not.
Usually, you'll find out they are.

How To Get Approved As An Affiliate
1. If you're an existing Warriorplus.com affiliate, register to be an affiliate for the Affiliate Success Letter.
Depending on your stats in Warriorplus as an affiliate, you may be approved. But if you aren't, relax. There are other ways to get approved, as long as your refunds are under 5%. If your refunds are over that, message me on getyoursupport.com and I'll handle it on a case-by-case basis.
2. Subscribe to the Affiliate Success Letter
I'll approve you on a provisional basis. Your ongoing approval will depend on your percentage of refunds and chargebacks. You need to have refunds under 5% and chargebacks under 1% and continue on at the $5 / month level after 30 days.
