I have scoop to bring you on how to get your emails delivered for your affiliate marketing -- cheap!
And there's MORE.
The reason we're talking about this is the money really is in the list. You write an email for an affiliate product. Click send. Get money.
It's just that simple.
First the email part.
But email sending companies charge you every month even if you don't send emails that month. That's not so great for starting affiliate marketers.
Also, some of them aren't looking so kindly on affiliate marketers anymore.
Now, for as long as I can remember Getresponse and Aweber were "go to" platforms in this business. And they still are.
But it's also true that it's getting harder and harder to do affiliate marketing through some of these platforms. You can get banned but not know exactly WHY you're banned.
It's a bit of a black box.
I think Aweber is a great service. And so is Getresponse.
But today I want to share with you my discoveries about Amazon SES. And also share a method you can use with Aweber or Gettresponse to NOT get banned.
Here's what I've learned about Amazon SES:
1. SES stands for simple email service
2. You only pay about .10 for each 1,000 emails sent.
3. They at least TELL YOU the two numbesr you have to watch: Your spam complaint score and your bounce rate and your complaint rate. What I love about this is you know what your score is and whether you have a problem or not. It's black and white.
By the same token, that complaint rate is a bit of a tough standard if you're mailing lists you've had a long time or lists you don't email frequently.
You're only allowed to get to .5%. So today I put in a support ticket with SES. I was at .30% and in an instant I jumped up to .39% for no reason that I could figure out.
So maybe there is a bit of "black box logic" still going on. Where they judge you by standards that are invisible to you. I hate that.
4. I'm using a program called Sendy to email my lists via Amazon SES. Sendy is an interface that lets you send your emails.
It's pretty good but doesn't do things as far as I can tell like put your spam complaints on a list where they won't get emailed again, even if that same email is on another list you have.
With that said, it's a one-off fee with no recurring billing. For the cost of Sendy which is cheap AND .10 per thousand emails, you're IN the email marketing affiliate business, just like that!
No overhead hanging over your head. No big, outrageous fees when you're starting up.
5. There are others you can use like MailWizz, which is way more powerful but on the surface looks way more complicated. You probably need someone on Fiverr to sest up Sendy for you. That'll cost $10.
But once it's set up, you're good to go.
6. One problem with using these programs is they aren't integrated with W+ or JVZoo.
This only applies to you if you're launching products on those platforms. But, in general, they don't integrate with other systems. However, Sendy uses Zapier, which means you CAN have Zapier add emails to your list from any platform integrated with Zapier.
The Big Question In My Mind
For me, the question I have is whether I can keep my complaint ratio low enough on SES or not in order to email my older lists.
The BEAUTY of Aweber is it has always made my life pretty simple. But I had to stop emailing some very important older lists due to whatever.
Here's what I'd tell you: Sendlane is probably who I'd recommend for affiliate marketers starting out because they understand affiliate marketing.
But if you're on a budget and just don't want the fixed cost, I'd go ahead and snag Sendy and set up Amazon SES.

Now, there IS a way to avoid most problems with Aweber and Getersponse.
This is 10 bucks but has a strategy I never heard anywhere for building a hyper response list.
The big idea is he uses tags, which Aweber and other programs have, to tag people if they open but don't click or click but don't buy.
And he creates a clickers list, an openers list and a buyers list.
It's very clever the way he sets it up. If you used this strategy you'll likley have no problems with Aweber or anyone else.
It's pretty slick.
I'll be reporting back if I get some of these issues I'm having with Amazon SES spam score worked out. I think I might know the problem but have put in a support ticket on it.

How To Get Approved As An Affiliate
1. If you're an existing Warriorplus.com affiliate, register to be an affiliate for the Affiliate Success Letter.
Depending on your stats in Warriorplus as an affiliate, you may be approved. But if you aren't, relax. There are other ways to get approved, as long as your refunds are under 5%. If your refunds are over that, message me on getyoursupport.com and I'll handle it on a case-by-case basis.
2. Subscribe to the Affiliate Success Letter
I'll approve you on a provisional basis. Your ongoing approval will depend on your percentage of refunds and chargebacks. You need to have refunds under 5% and chargebacks under 1% and continue on at the $5 / month level after 30 days.
